Getting started
Hi and welcome to File Phantom. This is a quick tutorial on how to use File Phantom. The first time you go to some screens, we’ll show a window that will let you see what you should do next. We call these tutorial windows and they'll be a great help to anyone that is new to using the application. Be sure to read what they say as the provide a lot of very useful information.
Before we begin using File Phantom though, we’ll need to create a new user. A user account is what allows only you to see your files and no one else to see them. When you first load File Phantom, you'll be prompted to create a new user.
You can also create a new user by clicking on the “Settings” button on the login screen and then creating a new user there by clicking the “Add User” button when you’ve finished creating your user.
When you create your new user, there are a few rules.
File Manager
From this File Manager screen, you can hide files, set them to be encrypted, add additional files to hide, assign categories to files, sort the files by categories or by any column that the file is in.
